Web Developer, Drupal

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and maintain comprehensive full-stack Drupal websites.

• Develop custom Drupal modules and themes utilizing PHP, Twig, JavaScript, and CSS/SCSS.

• Oversee configuration management and integrate various third-party APIs and services.

• Ensure optimal website performance, security, and adherence to accessibility standards for both front-end and back-end components.

• Manage web content, including extensive product catalog pages in multiple languages.

• Diagnose reported issues, test solutions, and implement fixes.

• Construct MySQL database queries to enhance user experiences.

• Take ownership of feature development and implementation.

• Transform mockups and wireframes into fully operational webpages.

• Maintain and improve web applications such as Single Sign-On, content management systems, learning management systems, and proprietary applications.

• Utilize AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot or Claude Code.

• Produce site diagrams, project workflow diagrams, and wireframes.

• Analyze web analytics to recommend website enhancements.

• Optimize website content and structure for SEO, privacy, cookie consent, and accessibility compliance.

• Uphold Hunter’s brand image, integrity, and graphic standards.

• Conduct peer reviews of feature implementations, enhancements, and bug fixes.

• Collaborate effectively with project managers and creative teams to develop maintainable solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in web design, graphic design, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.

• At least 3 years of experience in website design and development.

• Proficient in HTML, jQuery, PHP, and CSS.

• Capable of hand coding without reference materials.

• Experience in designing and developing responsive websites.

• Skill in writing media queries.

• Familiarity with open-source content management systems; Drupal is preferred.

• Strong expertise in Adobe Creative Suite and other professional graphic design tools.

• Comprehensive understanding of the web development process, encompassing design, development, and deployment.

• Knowledge and practical experience with cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility issues, including Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari.

• Experience working on a Mac platform.

• Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with other departments.

• Exceptional attention to detail, along with excellent time management and organizational abilities.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git or SVN is preferred.

• Experience with design frameworks like Foundation or Bootstrap is preferred.

• Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as Vue.js or Angular is preferred.

• Ability to create custom Drupal modules is preferred.

• Capable of responsibly leveraging AI tools to enhance the speed and reliability of code delivery.

• Willingness and ability to work during PST core hours.

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant equivalent work experience as an alternative.
