Full Stack Engineer, Web, Java

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications utilizing Java and contemporary web technologies.

• Create frontend and backend solutions that support subscriptions, payments, and entitlement management.

• Develop responsive and high-performance user experiences using JavaScript/TypeScript along with React or similar frameworks.

• Construct and integrate REST APIs and microservices to facilitate subscription and payment workflows.

• Engage with Fire TV IAP integration, addressing purchases, renewals, cancellations, and entitlement synchronization.

• Connect with external payment providers, app stores, and platform APIs.

• Develop robust systems capable of managing significant traffic spikes and high concurrency usage.

• Enhance application performance, availability, monitoring, and reliability.

• Manage failure scenarios, retries, reconciliation, and user-state consistency across distributed systems.

• Collaborate with backend, frontend, product, and platform teams to deliver complete features.

• Write high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested production code.

• Take part in design reviews, code reviews, and architectural discussions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful services.

• Strong frontend expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.

• Familiarity with React, Next.js, or other modern frontend frameworks.

• In-depth understanding of microservices and distributed systems.

• Proven experience in building high-scale consumer-facing applications.

• Proficiency with SQL/NoSQL databases.

• Experience with caching systems such as Redis.

• Preferred experience with messaging/event-streaming technologies like Kafka.

• Experience working with cloud platforms, particularly AWS.

• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD practices.

• Solid understanding of observability, monitoring, and production debugging.

• 4-7 years of experience in software engineering.

• Strong practical experience in both frontend and backend development.

• Ability to independently own and deliver production features.

• Experience with scalable distributed applications.
