Water/Wastewater Wage Instructor – COAST/TRAIN

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Support the training of specialized skilled and semi-skilled courses within the TEEX Workforce Development Programs.

• Conduct and deliver training courses for personnel in water and wastewater utilities.

• Enhance the technical competence and skills of the trainees.

• Prepare classrooms and outline course topics effectively.

• Utilize teaching aids and demonstrations to deliver classes.

• Complete necessary administrative documentation.

• Maintain and update technical skills and knowledge.

• Report directly to the ITSI Workforce Development Program Coordinator.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• A minimum of three years of experience in the operation, maintenance, design, construction, or regulation of water utility systems.

• Must reside in one of the following counties: Aransas, Bee, Brooks, Cameron, Duval, Hidalgo, Jim Wells, Kenedy, Kleberg, Live Oak, Nueces, Refugio, San Patricio, Starr, or Willacy.

• A valid motor vehicle operator’s license or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment.

• Texas Class "B" Water License is required.

• Texas Class "B" Wastewater License or Wastewater Collection II or III certification is also required.

• At least one year of experience in training adults.

• One of the following qualifications: 60 hours of classroom instructional experience; approved Instructor training in Methods of Teaching; approved Instructor training in Effective Instructional Techniques and Instructional Design and Evaluation; or approved Instructor training in Organizational and Use of Training Materials.

• Equivalency options include five years of related experience with an Associate's Degree in a relevant field, or seven years of related experience with a High School Diploma/GED.
