Water Treatment Engineering Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Deliver senior-level leadership, input, and support in process engineering for the design, construction, and commissioning of projects related to water treatment, remediation, and reclamation.

• Oversee the selection of technology and conduct water management trade-off analyses.

• Direct multi-disciplinary engineering design efforts and the generation of technical deliverables for both feasibility and detailed design phases.

• Review and authorize engineering deliverables, calculations, specifications, and reports.

• Assist in the selection of equipment, procurement processes, and vendor evaluations.

• Take part in design reviews, HAZID/HAZOP workshops, constructability assessments, and risk evaluations.

• Support project planning, proposals, budgeting, and engagement with clients.

• Provide engineering assistance throughout procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup phases.

• Collaborate effectively with clients to help achieve project objectives.

• Offer technical insight for projects and work alongside other technical specialists.

• Mentor and provide technical training to junior and intermediate team members.

• Execute additional duties as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, specializing in Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical, Civil, or Process Engineering.

• A Professional Engineering designation is mandatory.

• A minimum of 10 years of engineering experience in industrial water treatment projects, preferably within the mining sector.

• Experience in an environmental consulting or project consulting environment.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) along with other business applications.

• Capability to collaborate effectively with team members and lead multi-disciplinary projects.

• Strong ability to prioritize tasks efficiently and work autonomously or as part of a team.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interaction with stakeholders at all levels.
