Water Treatment Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.

📋 Description

• Assist in the planning and design activities for water and wastewater treatment facilities.

• Aid in engineering calculations and conduct technical assessments.

• Support the development of technical memoranda, foundation design documentation, reports, and presentations.

• Contribute to design packages, involving drawing coordination, specifications, and estimates of probable costs, under supervision.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure treatment requirements are aligned with the overall facility design.

• Review and organize data related to water quality, operations, and field observations.

• Clearly summarize project outcomes.

• Work alongside public and private clients on solutions for drinking water treatment, wastewater treatment, water reuse, and resiliency.

⛳️ Requirements

• A BA/BS degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field, along with 2 years of experience, or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

• EIT certification or the potential to obtain it within 12 months.

• Familiarity with modeling software and tools such as AutoCAD, Excel, Revit, and/or GIS.

• Knowledge of treatment fundamentals, including filtration and disinfection, through coursework.

• Internship or co-op experience in the water/wastewater sector.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
