This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Evaluate, develop, and enhance industrial processes.

• Assist in the design and analysis of mechanical components and system configurations for both nuclear and commercial endeavors.

• Work in partnership with production teams, quality assurance, and fellow engineers to guarantee efficient operations and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

• Design chemical engineering systems, including reaction vessels, filtration systems, ion-exchange skids, piping, and vessel systems.

• Choose commercially available equipment such as pumps, valves, pipe fittings, in-line components, and filtration systems.

• Conduct engineering calculations, including mass and energy balances, pressure profiles, and sizing for pipes, pumps, and vessels.

• Execute experiments and tests to support design documentation and modifications in the plant.

• Implement national codes and standards along with pertinent design criteria, specifications, procedures, and licensing bases.

• Participate in multidisciplinary project teams and integrate designs across various disciplines.

• Provide mentorship and perform quality reviews for junior team members when necessary.

• Verify the accuracy of design documentation in line with company policies, procedures, and client expectations.

• Oversee assigned schedules and take corrective actions to address delays.

• Suggest equipment, concepts, and techniques aimed at enhancing performance, simplifying design, reducing costs, rectifying issues, or complying with updated requirements, codes, or regulations.

• Receive direction from senior engineers and undertake additional assigned tasks.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or a related Engineering discipline is required.

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is essential.

• Previous experience in the nuclear industry is preferred.

• A solid understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals is necessary.

• Proficiency in CAD software, such as SolidWorks, is required.

• Capability to perform complex technical tasks with minimal supervision.

• Advanced knowledge and application of fundamental principles and concepts related to process and systems design.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.

• Ability to manage tasks effectively and meet deadlines.

• Must be eligible to work under 10 CFR Part 810.

• Candidates must be U.S. citizens to be considered.
