Water Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Perform regular inspections, testing, and maintenance of both hot and cold water systems, cooling towers, and domestic water supplies.

• Carry out Legionella risk assessments and implement control measures in accordance with L8 guidelines and HSG274 standards.

• Monitor water quality through consistent sampling and testing, while maintaining compliance records.

• Execute planned preventive maintenance for pumps, valves, storage tanks, and distribution systems.

• Address emergency callouts for water system failures or leaks, providing repairs or temporary solutions.

• Collaborate with contractors on major repairs or system enhancements.

• Ensure adherence to the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations and the Health and Safety at Work Act.

• Maintain logbooks, test certificates, and inspection reports.

• Compile monthly compliance reports and assist with audits.

• Offer technical guidance to building managers and tenants.

• Address water-related inquiries and complaints.

• Support client meetings with technical recommendations and updates on system performance.

⛳️ Requirements

• City & Guilds qualification in plumbing or water systems management, or equivalent experience.

• Completion of Legionella awareness training (BOHS P901 or equivalent).

• Familiarity with ACoP L8 requirements.

• At least 3 years of experience in commercial water system maintenance.

• A valid UK driving license.

• Willingness to travel across the London portfolio.

• Water treatment certification preferred.

• IOSH Working Safely qualification preferred.

• Experience with building management systems integration preferred.

• Previous experience in facilities management or corporate real estate is advantageous.
