This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
β’ Process and document post-closing loan disbursements, advances, construction draws, and other authorized funding requests.
β’ Review invoices, budgets, inspections, lien waivers, title updates, equity injection evidence, and other supporting documentation.
β’ Collaborate with borrowers, relationship managers, loan officers, attorneys, title companies, construction consultants, and other service providers.
β’ Maintain disbursement records and reconcile activities with core systems, loan documentation, and approved sources-and-uses requirements.
β’ Identify exceptions, documentation gaps, unusual activities, and potential compliance issues, and escalate them as necessary.
β’ Organize and maintain electronic and physical loan files throughout the servicing lifecycle.
β’ Track and resolve post-closing exceptions, trailing documents, recorded instruments, title policies, insurance evidence, collateral documents, and lien perfection items.
β’ Coordinate the recording and filing of documents with counties, states, agencies, and third-party providers.
β’ Update loan systems, ticklers, document repositories, and servicing notes regularly.
β’ Handle routine servicing requests including collateral releases, payoffs, lien releases, payment changes, advances, and loan modifications.
β’ Monitor ongoing financial reporting requirements and gather borrower, guarantor, affiliate, and collateral-related documents.
β’ Communicate with clients and external representatives regarding missing or updated documents and submission deadlines.
β’ Collaborate with relationship management, portfolio management, credit, underwriting, loan administration, and servicing teams.
β’ Review documents for completeness, reporting period, signatures, dates, and consistency with loan requirements.
β’ Maintain follow-up history and escalate overdue, incomplete, or non-compliant reporting items.
β’ Ensure compliance with bank policies, loan documents, regulations, and SBA Standard Operating Procedures.
β’ Prepare documentation for internal reviews, external audits, regulatory examinations, SBA reviews, and loan file testing.
β’ Assist with audit findings, tracking corrective actions, training, cross-training, procedure updates, system testing, automation initiatives, and continuous improvement projects.
β’ Provide guidance on post-closing documentation, servicing requirements, file standards, and follow-up expectations.
β’ Contribute to process improvements for loan quality, efficiency, reporting, controls, and borrower experience.
β’ Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
β’ A minimum of 5 years of experience in loan servicing, loan operations, commercial lending, SBA lending, loan processing, or a similar financial-services role.
β’ Working knowledge of post-closing loan administration, document tracking, payment processing, collateral documentation, and file maintenance.
β’ Capability to interpret loan documents, approval terms, servicing requirements, and supporting financial documentation.
β’ Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications.
β’ Ability to learn and effectively utilize loan origination, core banking, customer relationship management, and document-management systems.
β’ Strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, follow-through ability, and capacity to manage multiple deadlines and recurring requirements.
β’ Professional written and verbal communication skills.
β’ Ability to exercise sound judgment, recognize risks, protect confidential information, and escalate matters appropriately.
β’ Experience servicing SBA 7(a) and/or 504 loans, including construction, renovation, or leasehold-improvement transactions.
β’ Familiarity with SBA authorization terms, use-of-proceeds restrictions, collateral and lien requirements, disbursement controls, and servicing actions.
β’ Experience with Salesforce, nCino, or similar lending platforms.
β’ Experience supporting audits, examinations, quality-control reviews, and exception remediation.
β’ Comfort with adopting AI-assisted tools, workflow automation, and evolving technology.
