Vulnerability Scan Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Set up and operate vulnerability scanning tools while ensuring no disruption to systems or degradation of services.

• Assess scan outcomes, remove false positives, and prioritize findings categorized as critical, high, or moderate.

• Generate both filtered, curated reports and raw, unfiltered native scan outputs as stipulated by the RFP.

• Record the nature of the tools utilized, indicating whether they are commercial, proprietary, or open-source.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in vulnerability management or scan analysis.

• Expertise in using enterprise vulnerability scanners such as Tenable/Nessus, Qualys, Rapid7, or equivalent tools.

• Strong analytical abilities for managing false-positive triage and prioritizing risks effectively.

• Certifications such as GVMA, CompTIA PenTest+, or Security+ are preferred.

• Experience in coordinating scan schedules with client IT teams to reduce operational impact is preferred.

• Candidates must reside within the continental United States.
