Vulnerability Management Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with DoD leadership to assist with Risk Management Framework (RMF) accreditation processes.

• Use eMASS to oversee RMF artifacts, control statuses, and Authority to Operate (ATO) packages.

• Implement new tools and configuration standards to fulfill heightened Information Assurance (IA) accreditation needs for auditability, reporting, monitoring, and access controls.

• Plan, set up, and conduct ACAS scans across enterprise systems, applications, and enclaves.

• Leverage Tenable Security Center and Tenable Manager to manage and sustain the vulnerability management process.

• Examine scan outcomes, confirm vulnerabilities, and collaborate with system owners to address findings.

• Maintain and refresh vulnerability scan schedules, baselines, and documentation in line with DoD guidelines.

• Observe system logs and security events to identify anomalies, potential intrusions, and insider threats.

• Offer technical expertise in vulnerability management, reporting, and adherence to STIGs, IAVMs, and CCRI readiness requirements.

• Create, review, and sustain technical documentation, including SOPs, POA&Ms, and knowledge-base content for ACAS and other operations.

• Work in partnership with ISSMs, administrators, and DoD leadership to enhance cyber defense capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of an active Secret clearance.

• Security+ certification (IAT II) is required.

• 3-5 years of relevant experience is essential.

• Practical experience with ACAS (Tenable Security Center / Tenable Manager) in vulnerability scanning and reporting.

• Knowledge of DoD cybersecurity policies, RMF, STIGs, and network environments.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills are necessary.
