Vulnerability Management Analyst, Undergraduate Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +45 more states.

📋 Description

• Assist in managing an enterprise Information Security program by identifying vulnerabilities, validating them technically, analyzing security data, managing remediation, automating processes, and reducing enterprise risk.

• Identify, validate, analyze, prioritize, and monitor security vulnerabilities across enterprise applications, systems, infrastructure, and cloud environments.

• Engage in the full vulnerability management lifecycle, which includes discovery, technical validation, identifying asset ownership, conducting risk assessments, managing remediation, and ensuring closure.

• Analyze vulnerability and asset data from various sources to establish technical evidence, recognize affected systems, determine ownership, and track remediation progress.

• Utilize vulnerability management platforms, Microsoft security technologies, cloud security tools, external attack-surface discovery, and security reporting and analytics.

• Employ Excel, PowerShell, and Python to analyze security information, automate repetitive tasks, create metrics and dashboards, and enhance operational efficiency.

• Collaborate with teams in infrastructure, application, cloud, security operations, and other technology areas.

• Provide daily operating support, engage in projects and initiatives, conduct research and reporting, and offer recommendations or proposals for action.

• Receive guidance, training, and mentorship from senior staff.

• Must be enrolled full-time or part-time in an accredited college or university baccalaureate program.

• Currently pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, or a related technology field is preferred.
