This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide technical assistance to both company-owned and independent distributors, service providers, dealers, and in-house 800 Service Support Specialists.
• Coordinate solutions and corrective actions for product quality issues encountered in the field.
• Conduct or take part in customer quality assessments and field investigations.
• Troubleshoot installation, quality, and service-related issues via phone communication.
• Review service manuals, service letters, kit instructions, training materials, and technical communications.
• Maintain the Product Quality Report database, preparing, interpreting, and communicating reports effectively.
• Monitor and approve transition schedules, Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), deviations, and Product Change Notifications (PCNs).
• Engage in product development, assembly-line issue resolution, product return assessments, and service design reviews.
• Act as the primary technical contact for distributor service managers, providing escalated support as needed.
• Attend DFMEA, PFMEA, and DQIP meetings to offer service-related insights.
• Develop and present training materials for technical trainers and 800 Service Support Specialists.
• Represent the department in meetings related to product development, production, quality, and transitions.
• Collaborate with technical writers and service engineers on manuals, communications, parts standardization, substitutions, and obsolescence management.
• Assist with service or rework campaigns and review Special Labor Allowances.
• Provide guidance to Level 1 Product Specialists.
• Track, analyze, and relay service performance metrics throughout the product lifecycle.
• Create service bulletins, repair instructions, and associated communications.
• Manage project shipping data, reporting databases, customer communications, and rework documentation.
• Support Homeowner Support representatives and manage warranty processing.
• Travel to job sites, field locations, training programs, shows, distributor meetings, and customer quality reviews with managerial approval where necessary.
• Execute additional projects and responsibilities to support business needs.
• Over 15 years of experience in the HVAC industry, including installation, service, and commissioning expertise.
• Minimum of 5 years as a Daikin Regional Technical Manager (RTM).
• At least 2 years as a Daikin Product Specialist 1.
• Associate degree in HVAC or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Teams.
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, inductive and deductive reasoning, analytical, and interpretative skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, quality, manufacturing, marketing, sales, and other departments.
• Capability to work efficiently with customers to resolve service or quality concerns.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Good judgment, a strong work ethic, and integrity.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
