VRI/OPI Interpreter – Quiché

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be prepared to take notes during calls.

• Have a strong understanding of the specific vocabulary related to the healthcare and medical fields.

• Accurately and completely convey all messages without adding, omitting, or altering content.

• Deliver the highest quality of customer service while interpreting.

• Facilitate effective communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing precise and complete interpretations.

• Implement standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training.

• Show enthusiasm for obtaining new professional certifications.

• Communicate and report to your team leader.

• Adhere to dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Fluent in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Quiché".

• At least 1 year of telephone interpretation experience with a reputable interpretation company is advantageous, but not essential.

• Familiarity with medical terminology is a plus, but not required.

• Knowledge of legal terminology is beneficial.

• International certifications in the healthcare sector are considered a plus (e.g., PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• Possess high emotional intelligence and an appreciation for diverse cultures.

• Strong communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills are essential.
