VP, Program Manager – Cloud Data Platform Delivery

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversee comprehensive program delivery for a multifaceted AWS cloud data transformation spanning various workstreams and stakeholder groups.

• Manage all aspects of program planning, execution, dependencies, risks, issues, milestones, and executive reporting.

• Coordinate efforts across data engineering, architecture, platform, governance, analytics, business, and vendor teams.

• Collaborate with technical leaders to ensure alignment of legacy platforms, cloud services, data pipelines, governance tools, and reporting requirements.

• Conduct program ceremonies, track delivery, manage escalations, and uphold governance within a SAFe Agile framework utilizing JIRA.

• Lead workshops, planning sessions, and stakeholder reviews involving distributed teams and senior leadership.

• Guarantee that delivery aligns with expectations for financial services or similarly regulated environments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven program management experience in delivering large-scale, cross-functional technology projects.

• Demonstrated expertise in cloud data initiatives, including data lakes, data warehouses, data migration, modernization, and enterprise data platform delivery.

• Working knowledge of AWS cloud data services such as Redshift, EMR, S3, Glue, and SageMaker.

• Familiarity with Cloudera/Hadoop, Spark, Oracle, SAS, ETL platforms, and Collibra.

• Experience in Agile delivery environments, particularly with the Scaled Agile Framework, including hands-on use of JIRA.

• Ability to navigate complexity across multiple workstreams, dependencies, teams, vendors, and stakeholders.

• Strong communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, and executive reporting skills.

• Previous experience in financial services is preferred.

• Experience in highly regulated environments with governance, controls, compliance, and audit expectations is preferred.

• Background in leading data platform modernization or migration projects from on-premises to AWS is preferred.

• Understanding of enterprise data governance, metadata management, data lineage, and data quality practices is preferred.
