This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Establish the product vision and strategy, drawing insights from customer engagement, competitive analysis, market research, and alignment with company objectives.
• Deliver evidence-based product proposals to leadership and the board, detailing options, costs, and trade-offs.
• Manage the sequencing and prioritization of the roadmap across multiple simultaneous launches and the expanding portfolio framework.
• Define desired outcomes, integrate instrumentation into product launches, and report on performance metrics.
• Take ownership of product positioning, contribute to pricing strategies, oversee launch communications, manage external roadmaps, and create sales enablement materials.
• Directly supervise the Director of Engineering and the broader engineering team.
• Manage the discovery process while collaborating with CX, sales, and other stakeholders.
• Partner with CX and Sales teams to collect customer insights and competitive intelligence.
• Develop and mentor a product and engineering team comprising approximately 12 individuals.
• Recruit and guide product managers.
• Clearly communicate the roadmap and trade-offs to engineers, executives, the board, and customers.
• Maintain documentation of decisions and known issues for company-wide access.
• Assist in lowering the cost to serve for internal subject-matter experts through the development of internal tools.
• Over 10 years of experience in product leadership roles.
• Proven track record of guiding products from ideation through discovery, launch, and iterative development.
• Experience in startup or high-growth scale-up environments, particularly within organizations ranging from Series A to C or those with 150 to 300 employees.
• Technical fluency adequate to manage a capable Director of Engineering and to make informed decisions regarding platform and architecture.
• Direct experience in product marketing, positioning, and sales enablement.
• Background in establishing analytics and success metrics from the ground up and utilizing them to inform decision-making.
• Required experience in B2B SaaS.
• Experience in regulated or compliance-driven sectors is highly advantageous.
• Familiarity with conducting discovery, market research, and managing agile/scrum-based projects.
• Experience in recruiting, developing, and mentoring product teams starting from a minimal headcount.
• Proficiency in using AI tools.
• Candidates based in the Raleigh, NC area who are comfortable with a hybrid work schedule are preferred; strong remote candidates from across the U.S. will also be considered.
