VP of People

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the People team throughout the employee lifecycle, encompassing recruitment, onboarding, and organizational development.

• Supervise global compensation, organizational design, performance management, employee retention, and engagement initiatives.

• Foster a robust, scalable, values-driven, and accountable remote culture.

• Manage systems that facilitate remote work and collaboration.

• Define and assess the effectiveness of People programs and communicate progress to leadership and the business.

• Utilize data to inform decisions, challenge assumptions, and refine strategies.

• Develop and implement a talent strategy, including a recruiting strategy in collaboration with hiring managers.

• Incorporate an AI perspective into People team operations and assist team members in effectively leveraging AI.

• Align People programs with Help Scout’s strategic narrative and business objectives.

• Establish planning, prioritization, and execution rhythms for the People team.

• Report directly to Shawna Fisher, COO.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience as a people leader in a scaling B2B SaaS company with an ARR between $30M–$150M.

• Proven track record of guiding organizations through growth phases and facilitating a shift in employee mindset in evolving environments.

• Hands-on experience as an HR Business Partner (HRBP).

• Authentic perspective on how AI can enhance organizations’ people practices.

• Innovative approach to people and talent strategies.

• High standards along with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically in a remote work environment.

• Comfortable with shipping, measuring, and adjusting initiatives while balancing performance objectives and long-term vision.

• Must already possess authorization to work from your home country.
