People Operations Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Oversee employee information across various people systems and workflows.

• Ensure that payroll and benefits data is accurate.

• Collaborate with Finance to address discrepancies and uphold data integrity.

• Manage benefits and multi-state leave, which includes enrollments, life events, open enrollment, carrier relationships, ACA reporting, and leaves of absence.

• Enhance onboarding and offboarding processes.

• Post job openings and coordinate the scheduling and logistics of interviews.

• Maintain personnel records and manage job descriptions.

• Assist in the administration of policies and employee handbooks.

• Keep the compliance calendar updated and monitor multi-state requirements for a remote workforce.

• Respond to Team Member inquiries regarding pay, benefits, policies, and systems.

• Create self-service resources.

• Document processes, provide people data to leadership, and streamline or automate recurring tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in HR operations or equivalent skills.

• Practical experience with HRIS, benefits, and employee data management.

• Familiarity with FLSA, FMLA, ACA, COBRA, and Form I-9 regulations.

• Exceptional attention to detail, discretion, and care in handling confidential matters.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with proficiency in reporting and spreadsheets.

• Capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.

• Personal faith in Jesus and alignment with the organization's mission, values, and Statement of Faith.

• Bonus: Experience with BambooHR.

• Bonus: Experience supporting a remote multi-state and global workforce.

• Bonus: Certifications such as SHRM-CP, PHR, FPC, or CPP.
