This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee the operations division encompassing warehouse, logistics, inventory, fulfillment, and special initiatives.
• Manage and enhance the contracted warehouse and third-party logistics (3PL) network, which includes selecting carriers and partners, performance oversight, and network design.
• Direct freight strategies for specialized cargo, including heavy and oversized freight, permitting, lithium-ion hazmat handling, and insurance management.
• Set and take ownership of operational KPIs related to logistics, warehouse, inventory, and fulfillment.
• Evaluate organizational structure, talent, and operational accountability while integrating and scaling operations.
• Assist business development and sales through pipeline management, forecasting, CRM operational hygiene, and reporting infrastructure.
• Collaborate with Sales Leaders to convert commercial strategies into repeatable, measurable processes.
• Conduct weekly, monthly, and quarterly operational reviews, KPI dashboards, and accountability rhythms.
• Convert strategic priorities into operational plans and quarterly objectives in collaboration with the CEO, CFO, and Sales Leaders.
• Create accountability frameworks, escalation paths, and decision-making processes.
• Oversee complex customer projects from contract execution to final delivery on a comprehensive basis.
• Develop and expand the project management function, including methodologies, templates, status reporting, intake, and prioritization.
• Manage project-level P&L visibility, margins, timelines, resource usage, and post-project evaluations.
• Act as the escalation point for project risks, delivery challenges, and cross-functional conflicts.
• Collaborate with technology leaders on Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), CRM, and related systems strategies.
• Define operational technology needs, prioritize enhancements, and assess system performance.
• Lead and nurture the operations team while assessing talent and organizational efficiency.
• Manage offshore contractor partners who support administrative and operational tasks.
• Uphold and promote Kinect Solar’s culture and values.
• Develop the operational execution framework to facilitate business growth over the next three years and beyond.
• A minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in operations, supply chain, logistics, or general management within a logistics or distribution environment.
• At least 5 years in a senior leadership role in operations (e.g., Sr. Director of Operations, VP of Operations, SVP of Operations).
• Proven experience managing operating systems in a growth-stage company, including KPIs, operational cadence, project governance, and planning processes.
• Operational fluency with WMS, TMS, ERP (experience with NetSuite is a plus), and CRM systems.
• Experience overseeing a multi-site or large-scale contracted warehouse network.
• A history of leading through influence and structural authority, particularly in support of sales infrastructure.
• Strong executive presence and the ability to collaborate effectively with a CEO, board members, and senior executive peers.
• Experience in establishing or leading formal project management functions, methodologies, or operational excellence initiatives.
• Hands-on experience with heavy and oversized freight, hazmat handling, and relevant regulatory frameworks (preferred).
• Direct experience in renewable energy, transportation, logistics, warehousing, industrial distribution, infrastructure, or other operationally complex sectors (preferred).
• Experience in a founder-led or private equity-backed growth-stage business (preferred).
• Previous experience as VP of Operations, SVP of Operations, Sr. Director of Operations, or in a senior operations executive role in a logistics or distribution business (preferred).
• Authorization to work in the United States is requested in the application.
