This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Provide strategic and operational guidance for revenue cycle functions across Medical Group, Urgent Care, and Occupational Health service lines.
• Foster system standardization across all markets, ensuring performance management and accountability among stakeholders.
• Standardize and enhance scheduling, registration, insurance verification, authorization, and patient financial engagement processes.
• Enhance front-end revenue cycle performance through precise registration and compliant patient data collection.
• Broaden patient self-service capabilities, including online scheduling, digital registration, automated eligibility verification, patient portals, mobile check-in, and electronic payment options.
• Boost collections of patient financial responsibilities through price transparency, point-of-service collections, payment plans, and patient education initiatives.
• Identify root causes of claim denials and registration-related rework, implementing corrective action plans accordingly.
• Monitor registration quality, scheduling effectiveness, denial trends, patient collections, productivity, and revenue cycle performance using dashboards and analytics.
• Establish onboarding, orientation, training, and continuing education programs for scheduling, registration, and patient access staff.
• Evaluate and mentor frontline associates and leaders while implementing development plans.
• Spearhead cross-functional continuous improvement, process standardization, technology, and automation initiatives.
• Lead market-based revenue cycle subject matter experts who support frontline associates and market leaders.
• Maintain collaborative relationships with Epic, Ensemble, and other partners.
• Operate within a matrix environment with accountability to Medical Group and Revenue Cycle leadership.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business (required).
• 7+ years of progressive experience in healthcare revenue cycle, including ambulatory/professional billing operations.
• At least 5 years in leadership positions.
• Strong proficiency in computer technology, including the Microsoft suite of tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including superior grammar and proofreading abilities.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the capability to engage at all organizational levels.
• Professional and adaptable demeanor when interacting with internal and external clients.
• Ability to interpret and manage detailed analytical data effectively.
• Proven skills in strategic planning and execution.
• Experience in performance improvement, Lean methodologies, and process redesign.
• Knowledge of change management and physician/practice partnerships.
• Familiarity with payer and regulatory requirements.
• Experience in contract/vendor management.
• Ability to influence others without direct authority.
• Strong executive communication and presentation capabilities.
• Master’s Degree in Business or Healthcare Administration (preferred).
• Multi-site or multi-market ambulatory revenue cycle leadership experience (preferred).
• Experience overseeing Epic and vendor partners (preferred).
• Experience in physician enterprise or medical group settings (preferred).
• Familiarity with Epic systems (preferred).
