VP of Internal Systems – IT

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Enhance Stord's enterprise systems and IT operations for a rapidly expanding commerce-enablement and fulfillment organization.

• Take ownership of the strategy, architecture, and roadmap for CRM, ERP, HRIS, CLM, Procurement, and Customer Success platforms.

• Establish integration and data-flow decisions, ownership models, architecture documentation, and business-impact prioritization.

• Oversee master data management for customers, vendors, products, locations, and employees.

• Develop data-quality frameworks and guarantee consistent capture of canonical metrics in source systems.

• Identify and redesign high-friction processes across Finance, People, Legal, Support, and Operations.

• Direct IT strategy and operations, covering identity and access management, device lifecycle, end-user support, and corporate networking.

• Manage physical networks and device infrastructure across fulfillment and parcel locations, including scanners, printers, Wi-Fi, switching, routing, ISP circuits, and failover systems.

• Implement IT solutions for new sites and countries in line with Operations timelines.

• Administer endpoint, identity, and access controls according to Security-defined standards.

• Ensure efficient onboarding and offboarding processes.

• Oversee company-wide SaaS administration, contracts, licensing, access, renewals, utilization, consolidation, and vendor diligence in collaboration with Procurement.

• Handle security and compliance evaluations for new tools, including AI solutions, and manage company-wide AI platforms.

• Operate privacy initiatives that include GDPR, EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework certification, records of processing, DSARs, retention schedules, and vendor DPAs until transitioning to GRC.

• Enforce data residency, retention, deletion, access reviews, segregation of duties, and change control across business systems.

• Provide audit and regulatory evidence from systems.

• Promote AI integration within IT and Business Operations, collaborating with other functions on AI-native processes.

• Integrate the business systems of acquired companies into Stord's infrastructure and assist with technical and operational due diligence.

• Lead and develop the IT and Enterprise Systems team, including an established Director of IT.

• Report to the SVP of Product & Engineering and work collaboratively with senior leaders across Engineering, Data, Security, Finance, Revenue, People, Legal, and Operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in leading enterprise systems, business technology, corporate IT, or a related function, with direct oversight of budget and hiring.

• Proven experience managing a complex multi-system business technology ecosystem end-to-end, including CRM, ERP, and HRIS, through migrations or consolidations.

• Background in operating corporate IT as a proactive function within a fast-growing company, preferably during international expansion.

• Experience overseeing IT for distributed physical sites, including floor networking, handheld devices, and connectivity solutions.

• Proven track record managing a company-wide SaaS portfolio in collaboration with Procurement, demonstrating consolidation and cost savings.

• Experience running or significantly supporting a privacy or compliance program, such as GDPR, SOC 2, ISO 27001, or equivalent standards.

• Experience integrating business systems post-acquisition.

• Background in technology or tech-enabled businesses.

• Demonstrated experience in AI adoption within an operational function, with measurable outcomes post-implementation.

• Familiarity with the current AI and agentic tooling landscape.

• Deep understanding of enterprise application architecture, integration patterns, and master data management.

• Strong foundation in IT operations, identity management, and endpoint and access controls.

• Technical credibility to assess integration designs and collaborate with senior engineers and the VP of Data.

• Proficient in cross-functional change management and executive communication skills.

• Experience related to IPO readiness, public-company operations, SOX IT general controls, international expansion, physical operations, or acquisition integration is a plus.
