VP, Managing Director – Indirect Originations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Acquire all small (app only) and large ticket (complete financial package) originations sourced from third parties, such as banks, non-banks, and captives.

• Execute direct deals with select banks that have established or potential funding relationships.

• Focus on transactions that align with Verdant's risk-adjusted return criteria and established credit parameters.

• Collaborate with outside sales representatives to purchase repetitive or opportunistic portfolios from vendor captives and independent finance companies.

• Support sourced transactions by onboarding funding partners, preparing credit analyses, coordinating documentation with Operations, and managing funding matters with Finance/Accounting.

• Represent Indirect Sales in the Chief Commercial Officer’s weekly MM meetings.

• Oversee existing funding partnerships, including the management of the Servicer Reporting Function.

• Initiate and formalize new funding partner relationships with assistance from the Chief Commercial Officer.

• Meet Verdant’s annual indirect sales goals through small-ticket and large-ticket originations.

• Address macro issue topics and opportunities for consideration within the company.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience from a formal bank credit training program.

• Strong analytical skills.

• Excellent leadership and communication abilities.

• Solid credit background in equipment finance.

• Minimum of 5 years of combined experience in credit, sales, and/or capital markets within equipment finance.

• Experience in leading and supervising Capital Markets functions, which includes establishing funding partner relationships, managing portfolio or individual app-only buying processes, presenting underwriting for large ticket transactions, and understanding pricing and discounting, including the implications of residual dynamics.

• Must successfully pass a credit check, criminal background check, and pre-employment drug screening, including screening for marijuana.
