VP, Information Security, Compliance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the Chief Information Security Officer for the Company and the executive advocate for global enterprise security and compliance initiatives.

• Develop, implement, and enhance a comprehensive security strategy aimed at safeguarding customer data, intellectual property, and infrastructure.

• Function as the primary security consultant for the Board of Directors and the Executive Leadership Team.

• Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing global security team and compliance organization that spans security operations, engineering, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

• Direct the strategy, deployment, and ongoing monitoring necessary to secure and uphold FedRAMP, StateRAMP, DoD/CMMC, and CJIS authorizations within cloud environments.

• Supervise compliance and auditing efforts for SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, and global privacy regulations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.

• Over 10 years of progressive leadership experience in information security, cloud architecture, and compliance within a globally recognized, publicly traded cloud/SaaS technology company.

• Practical experience guiding a cloud solution through the FedRAMP authorization process (PMO/JAB or Agency route) and maintaining continuous monitoring in AWS and/or Azure cloud settings.

• Proficient in scaling commercial enterprise SaaS security while adeptly navigating stringent public sector regulatory frameworks (NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, CMMC, CJIS, FISMA).

• Outstanding ability to convey security concepts to technical engineers, enterprise buyers, regulatory auditors, and Board members.

• Proven track record in negotiating security exhibits, data processing agreements (DPAs), and risk terms with enterprise clients and vendors.
