Senior Cybersecurity Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Offer strategic and operational cybersecurity expertise across IT and OT landscapes

• Act as a reliable advisor and subject matter expert within the global Cybersecurity team

• Provide cybersecurity advice and assurance for system deployments, upgrades, digital transformation projects, and secure-by-design initiatives

• Evaluate and shape security architecture for cloud, applications, industrial control systems, SCADA, IoT, industrial networks, Zero Trust, Identity and Access Management, data protection, and AI governance

• Perform threat modeling, security design evaluations, and risk assessments for projects, vendors, business systems, and operational technologies

• Suggest actionable mitigation and remediation strategies

• Assist in cyber risk management and incident preparedness, including mitigation planning, incident response readiness, post-incident evaluations, audits, compliance documentation, and ongoing improvement

• Provide guidance on security policies, standards, procedures, and governance frameworks

• Ensure alignment of recommendations with NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, and IEC 62443 practices

• Identify and communicate risks and support decisions to speak up or stop work

• Collaborate with technical, operational, engineering, and business stakeholders across various regions

• Report within the Americas structure and participate in occasional meetings outside standard local business hours

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Systems, STEM, or a related field, or equivalent depth of cybersecurity experience

• Extensive cybersecurity or information security experience in both IT and OT environments

• Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or highly regulated sectors is beneficial

• Proven expertise in at least two relevant areas, such as cloud security, Identity and Access Management or Zero Trust, data protection or DLP, and AI governance

• Familiarity with NIST, CIS, ISO, or similar standards

• Ability to advise internal clients and translate technical cyber risks into business-related risks

• Experience in supporting incident response and making risk-based decisions

• Capability to influence secure outcomes in intricate or decentralized organizations

• Strong communication skills in English

• Willingness to attend occasional meetings across time zones and travel regionally when necessary

• Commitment to safe and ethical work practices, risk awareness, confidentiality, and the ability to escalate or pause work when controls or conditions are uncertain

• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC are a plus
