This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Direct the FP&A and Treasury operations at Merit Financial Advisors, reporting to the CFO.
• Design the future finance operating model for the company, encompassing FP&A, treasury and liquidity management, strategic finance, business performance, management reporting, capital planning, and finance transformation.
• Create scalable, technology-driven planning, forecasting, treasury, and analytical capabilities.
• Manage liquidity, cash forecasting, lender compliance, credit facility and cap table administration, 13-week cash flow modeling, covenant adherence, and debt servicing.
• Assist in debt and equity financing, refinancing processes, investor and creditor due diligence, liquidity strategies, leverage management, and capital structure planning.
• Prepare reporting and presentation materials for the Board, Sponsors, executives, lenders, investors, and shareholders.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Treasury, FP&A, Technology, Data, Operations, Corporate Development, Legal, HR, and executive leadership.
• Supervise budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, management reporting, budget-to-actual analysis, KPI reporting, operational scorecards, and executive dashboards.
• Create enterprise financial models, conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis, risk modeling, strategic planning, and forward-looking analyses.
• Work alongside the CFO and CTO on finance systems modernization, redesigning the chart of accounts, establishing reporting hierarchies, KPI structures, planning architecture, automation, data quality, integration, governance, and reporting infrastructure.
• Oversee financial modeling for M&A, support acquisition underwriting, post-acquisition performance tracking, and actual versus model reporting.
• Manage reporting on organic growth and office performance, revenue analysis, growth channel ROI, operating expense and human capital budgeting, and budget-to-actual reporting.
• Lead FP&A and Treasury leadership roles and analytical resources, including coaching, performance management, succession planning, recruiting, hiring, and onboarding.
• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline is required.
• An MBA, CPA, CFA, or other advanced finance credentials are preferred.
• Ideally, 7–10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, Treasury, strategic finance, corporate finance, investment banking, transaction advisory, or finance within private equity portfolio companies.
• Proven experience in leading FP&A and/or Treasury teams within a private equity-backed, acquisition-focused, or high-growth setting.
• Experience in wealth management is preferred.
• Demonstrated capability in developing budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and KPI/management reporting systems.
• Experience in implementing finance transformation projects, including reporting platforms, planning systems, BI/dashboarding tools, or enterprise performance management frameworks.
• Familiarity with partnering with Technology, Data, or Systems teams to enhance automation and data quality.
• Required experience in supporting reporting for Boards, Sponsors, lenders, investors, shareholders, and executives.
• Advanced capabilities in Excel, financial modeling, reporting, planning, analytical skills, and executive presentations are required.
