This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Translate overarching merchandising and divisional strategies into actionable plans for the women’s shoes category.
• Coordinate the execution of merchandise strategies across Buying, Planning, Marketing, Digital, and other cross-functional teams.
• Ensure that product assortments are in line with category strategies, current market trends, and customer expectations.
• Assess product performance to optimize assortments and enhance profitable growth.
• Assist in vendor negotiations, "world of" discussions, and top-tier meetings.
• Define and implement pre-season and in-season roadmaps in collaboration with Brand Partnerships, Buying, and Planning leadership.
• Create seasonal products within private-label programs for Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue brands.
• Establish pricing strategies, promotional tactics, and markdown decisions with the Buying and Planning teams.
• Collaborate with product development and merchandising teams to launch innovative products.
• Guide, motivate, and unify buying teams around strategic goals and corporate objectives.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Management, or a related field.
• Over 10 years of experience in retail merchandising, buying, and brand partnership management specifically in footwear.
• Direct experience with designer and luxury shoe markets.
• Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and executing senior-level strategic initiatives.
• Strong leadership capabilities.
• Extensive experience in brand negotiations and vendor management.
• Proven ability to translate broader strategies into implementable plans.
• In-depth understanding of retail merchandising, buying, and planning processes.
• Strong financial acumen, including expertise in pricing, promotions, and markdown decisions.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic setting.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
• Capacity to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Customer-centric approach, guided by both "art" and "science".
• MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
