Vice President, Technology and Product

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the MDLinx product vision and roadmap related to physician-focused experiences and pharmaceutical engagement products.

• Guide product, design, and engineering as a cohesive team.

• Innovate new methods for pharmaceutical brands to connect with and support physicians.

• Foster a culture of rapid experimentation, transitioning from concept to functional prototype within days.

• Evaluate prototypes with physicians and clients, gather insights, and iterate.

• Regularly engage with physicians and pharmaceutical clients to influence product strategy.

• Implement a forward-deployed engineering model where engineers collaborate directly with internal stakeholders and clients.

• Oversee application development and data engineering, both directly and through team leads.

• Maintain small, agile teams focused on achieving results.

• Establish AI-native development as the standard, delivering AI features such as personalization, recommendations, and content intelligence.

• Create a platform for launching, testing, and reverting experiments without disrupting core products.

• Manage MDLinx product and technology independently while adhering to M3 USA engineering standards and technology strategies.

• Implement metrics to evaluate physician knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors.

• Take charge of the MDLinx first-party data strategy.

• Spearhead generative AI initiatives for content creation, summarization, curation, and analysis of medical literature.

• Develop recommendation systems, real-time personalization, and predictive engagement models.

• Direct the technical strategy and architecture for a modular, composable platform.

• Design infrastructure to capture, unify, and activate physician behavioral signals and comprehensive physician profiles.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 12 years of experience in product and engineering.

• At least 5 years of experience leading product, design, and engineering as a unified team, with management responsibilities.

• Proven experience in bringing a product from concept to market, achieving measurable results with initial customers.

• Background in developing engagement products that demonstrate strong retention, including interactive, community-driven, or personalized experiences.

• Experience in establishing and managing a forward-deployed engineering (FDE) model or similar embedded structure.

• Architectural experience making decisions for a high-traffic production platform with stringent availability requirements.

• Familiarity with modern cloud and event-driven infrastructure, preferably AWS.

• Proficient in using AI coding agents as a standard practice.

• Hands-on experience in delivering LLM applications, recommendation systems, and real-time personalization to end users.

• Expertise in first-party data management, including event tracking, identity resolution, unified profiles, and privacy-first customer data platform activation.

• Experience with A/B testing, feature flag management, rollback infrastructure, and statistical analysis of signal versus noise.

• Strong ability to articulate technical trade-offs clearly to engineers, physicians, pharmaceutical clients, and executives.
