VP Commerce Strategy – Value Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the commerce strategy and value engineering for potential brand partners.

• Link marketplace opportunities to credible commercial proposals.

• Collaborate with New Business sellers, Analytics, Operations, and Finance to create solutions and substantiate the growth and profitability case for selecting Recom.

• Direct diagnostic discovery, marketplace evaluations, and strategic consultations with potential clients.

• Examine Amazon listings, storefronts, advertising, operations, and competitive performance to uncover growth opportunities.

• Develop customized solutions across Recom’s commercial models and confirm viability with delivery teams.

• Construct quantified business cases, growth projections, and profitability assumptions with Finance and Analytics.

• Deliver recommendations, address technical and commercial inquiries, and assist in proposals and executive purchasing decisions.

• Create repeatable diagnostic tools and establish proposal standards.

• Provide buyer insights to marketing, product, and operational teams.

• Report directly to the Chief Growth Officer and collaborate with relevant marketing and commercial teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in ecommerce strategy, solutions consulting, value engineering, or similar commercial advisory roles.

• Extensive knowledge of Amazon marketplace operations.

• Proficiency in interpreting performance and financial data.

• Proven track record of advising senior brand stakeholders and shaping commercially viable growth strategies.

• Excellent executive presentation skills.

• Strong cross-functional leadership abilities.

• Competence in financial modeling.

• Familiarity with Seller Central, Vendor Central, and both 1P and 3P commercial models.

• Experience in Amazon advertising, brand protection, and marketplace analytics.

• Background in establishing a presales or commerce-strategy capability.

• Experience in validating inventory, working capital, margin, and operational assumptions in proposals.
