Mobile Engineer – React Native

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Create and sustain Keet Mobile, a peer-to-peer chat and calling application for both iOS and Android platforms.

• Develop and enhance features for messaging, voice and video calls, media sharing, device linking, and identity backup.

• Apply UI/UX principles utilizing React Native and Expo.

• Leverage on-device peer-to-peer core APIs within a Bare worklet.

• Incorporate push notifications, camera functionality, biometric authentication, and background tasks on iOS and Android.

• Analyze and optimize performance on actual devices, focusing on startup duration, prolonged chats, media management, battery usage, and network consumption.

• Create unit tests and end-to-end tests.

• Ensure release stability through Continuous Integration (CI) and crash reporting.

• Work collaboratively with core peer-to-peer, design, and product teams.

• Conduct code reviews to maintain high-quality standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with React Native.

• Proficient in Redux for state management and Redux-Saga.

• Highly skilled in JavaScript and ES6+.

• Familiarity with WebSockets.

• Knowledge of RESTful APIs.

• Experience working within a remote team environment.

• Interest in modernizing and enhancing mobile or web applications.

• Understanding of native programming languages like Swift or Kotlin is a plus.

• Knowledge of native build tools such as Xcode or Android Studio is beneficial.

• Experience with peer-to-peer frameworks is an advantage.

• Strong English communication skills.
