VP Capital Formation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Manage capital relationships across both divisions of the firm

• Deliver buyer and capital coverage for both sell-side and buy-side M&A engagements

• Take the lead on capital formation for VC funds, independent sponsor equity deals, and SPV syndication

• Engage with institutional allocators, direct-investing family offices, RIAs, and advisor networks

• Develop the firm's wealth channel

• Establish senior relationships across allocators, family offices, and RIA and advisor networks

• Oversee fundraising efforts for funds, sponsor deals, and SPVs from inception to closure

• Assist with M&A mandates by providing real-time buyer and capital intelligence

• Formalize collaborations with RIA firms, broker-dealers, and advisor networks

• Educate advisors and investors on the structures and economics of private markets

• Source mandates for both divisions

• Collaborate with Finalis on compliance, onboarding, and Regulation D requirements

⛳️ Requirements

• FINRA registration via a broker-dealer, or the ability to be sponsored within 120 days

• Over 5 years of experience in capital formation, LP coverage, placement, or alternative investment distribution

• Proven capital relationships that can be leveraged from day one

• Direct experience in raising private market vehicles

• Strong understanding of fund and sponsor economics: carry, waterfalls, hurdles, promote, side letters

• Proficient in Regulation D and accredited investor standards

• Bachelor's degree in finance or a related discipline

• Preferred: transferable RIA book, previous platform or approved-list experience, buy-side M&A experience, cross-border expertise, Spanish or Portuguese language skills
