Virtualization Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and manage VMware-based virtualization infrastructures

• Manage software-defined networking and storage solutions

• Provide support for on-premises and hybrid cloud setups

• Collaborate across vSphere, vSAN, NSX, Aria, and Tanzu environments

• Automate operations and oversee capacity management

• Maintain a vast VMware ecosystem alongside contemporary cloud-native applications

• Diagnose issues across compute, networking, and storage layers

• Employ effective operational practices for enterprise-scale VMware infrastructures

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline

• Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience

• At least five years of practical VMware platform engineering experience

• Proficient knowledge of vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi

• Practical experience with vSAN and storage policy management

• Familiarity with NSX-T or NSX-V networking solutions

• Strong skills in PowerCLI scripting and automation tools

• Understanding of Tanzu Kubernetes Grid or VMware container solutions

• Solid grasp of disaster recovery concepts and SRM

• Excellent troubleshooting abilities across compute, networking, and storage layers

• Outstanding communication and teamwork skills

• VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or VCAP certifications are preferred

• Experience with VMware Cloud on AWS, AVS, or GCVE is preferred

• Familiarity with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) is preferred

• Experience with Aria Operations / vRealize Operations is preferred

• Exposure to migration projects transitioning from VMware to other virtualization platforms is preferred
