Energy Engineer, PV

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Oversee renewable energy projects and/or portfolios, encompassing PV and BESS activities as well as internal and external communications.

• Execute economic modeling and feasibility studies for advanced concepts in generation, storage, and grid applications, with an emphasis on PV.

• Assess technology and design scenarios based on techno-economic analysis.

• Develop documentation and presentations for banks, investors, and other stakeholders.

• Formulate, update, and evaluate construction plans for both ground-mounted and rooftop solar energy facilities.

• Conduct electrical designs and power loss analyses for PV projects.

• Perform energy yield assessments utilizing PVsyst.

• Carry out site visits and quality assessments of locations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently residing in Mexico.

• Holds a Master’s degree or equivalent in environmental, systems or electrical engineering, energy technology, or energy efficiency.

• A minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience with large-scale PV systems and BESS.

• Familiarity with the latest advancements in technologies and renewable energy sources.

• Proven ability to produce technical reports in a professional manner.

• Capacity to work autonomously with AutoCAD and PVsyst.

• Proficiency in Python, EPLAN, MATLAB, and other simulation tools is a plus.

• Strong command of both English and Spanish.

• Proficiency in additional languages is an advantage.

• Willingness to travel internationally (20% of the time).
