Virtual Urgent Care/Acute Care Advanced Practice Provider, NP/PA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Provide virtual acute care to members experiencing emergent or critical health issues.

• Diagnose intricate medical conditions.

• Order and analyze diagnostic tests.

• Develop care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the Care OnDemand team.

• Prescribe necessary medications.

• Evaluate quality-of-care interventions, social requirements, home health needs, and durable medical equipment needs.

• Coordinate collaborative care with primary care providers, specialists, pharmacies, clinical nursing, social workers, family members, and caregivers.

• Utilize Devoted’s electronic health information system during visits and offer feedback for interface improvement.

• Assist clinical nurses during weekend on-call coverage in specific areas.

• Support new clinical and organizational programs as well as initiatives.

• Incorporate innovative practices in virtual care.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of three years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP), preferably in acute care, urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary/internal medicine with significant acute management.

• Must be available to work four 10-hour shifts weekly, including one weekend shift per month.

• Working hours range from 11am to 9pm EST; the posting also indicates 9am to 7pm EST.

• Nurse Practitioners must possess active and in-good-standing RN and APRN licenses.

• Physician Assistants must hold an active and in-good-standing Physician Assistant license.

• Licensure and certification for the role must be in good standing.

• Ability to obtain licensure in specified states within 90 days of the hire date.

• Willingness to acquire licenses in additional states as required.

• Experience in primary care, internal medicine, urgent care, emergency rooms, and/or geriatrics.

• Proficient in conducting visits through telehealth video platforms.

• Experience in managing acute/chronic disease exacerbations, including congestive heart failure, diabetes, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and hypertensive emergencies.

• Adaptable, eager to learn, and comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Flexible in scope of practice and open to embracing new challenges.
