This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial objectives, and marketing goals.
• Oversee the designated territory and targeted accounts.
• Cultivate robust customer relationships and address customer needs to enhance both short- and long-term sales performance.
• Develop pre-call planning objectives and conduct post-call assessments.
• Address objections, misunderstandings, and concerns to facilitate calls to action that close sales calls.
• Meet customer needs, expectations, and challenges to foster trusted relationships and secure win-win agreements.
• Create and implement call plans to meet metrics and optimize coverage and frequency for key clients.
• Gain a thorough understanding of customer needs, the territory market landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, disease areas, products, clinical topics, and sales.
• Share market insights with in-field, brand, and sales management teams.
• Highlight AbbVie’s value proposition with designated health providers.
• Identify, develop, and sustain relationships with disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• Adhere to AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and relevant laws and regulations, always putting the patient first.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or relevant and equivalent industry experience is required.
• Relevant and equivalent industry experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree: at least five years of experience, including three or more years in the pharmaceutical/health/science industry is preferred.
• A high school diploma/GED is required when relying on equivalent industry experience instead of a bachelor’s degree.
• Demonstrated history of successful leadership.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Solid business acumen.
• Proficient in the use of business tools.
• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.
• Ability to discern customer style/behavior and adjust selling techniques accordingly.
• Competent in navigating a matrix environment effectively.
• Experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry is preferred, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care, or marketing.
• Comprehensive scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge is preferred.
• Proficiency in the English language, both verbally and in writing, is preferred for non-English-speaking countries.
• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and maintain good standing or be eligible to obtain them.
• Background checks, drug screenings, proof of immunization/vaccination, and fingerprinting may be required.
• Valid driver’s license is necessary.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and adhere to safe driving requirements.
• Capability to operate a personal vehicle or company car/truck or powered material-handling equipment.
