Virtual Teacher, Visually Impaired – NY Certified

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Instruct the school's curriculum utilizing the district's virtual platform.

• Create lesson plans that are in line with the class curriculum.

• Inspire creativity and enthusiasm in the virtual learning atmosphere.

• Engage and support student learning through intentional, relationship-centered strategies.

• Monitor student grades and overall performance.

• Participate in district professional development sessions and faculty meetings.

• Collaborate with the in-class facilitator who is physically present with students.

• Utilize the educator portal to choose positions that align with the educator's certification.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must have authorization to work in the United States.

• Currently hold an active New York state Student with Disabilities certification along with a Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a professional educator is required.

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university is essential.

• A laptop or desktop computer, webcam, headset, and reliable internet connection are necessary.

• Participation in a virtual skills teaching demonstration is required.

• A background check must be submitted as part of the application process.

• Previous online teaching experience is an advantage.
