Virtual Teacher, Math

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Provide live, on-camera synchronous instruction for a minimum of five hours each scheduled instructional day.

• Develop an engaging and well-structured virtual classroom environment.

• Leverage student performance data to tailor instruction, identify learning gaps, and modify teaching strategies.

• Offer timely and constructive feedback on student assignments.

• Keep accurate records to ensure students and families are informed and on track.

• Foster relationships with students and families through professional and proactive communication.

• Collaborate with school partners and Edmentum colleagues to deliver consistent, high-quality support to students.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related discipline.

• Valid state teaching license with an endorsement in Mathematics for grades 6-12.

• Preferred licensure in Virginia, Indiana, and/or Pennsylvania.

• Experience in teaching in both virtual and in-person environments.

• Comfortable with the distinct challenges of a live online classroom setting.

• Capable of teaching live on camera for five or more consecutive hours each instructional day.

• Proficient with online learning platforms, virtual instruction tools, and standard productivity software.

• Ability to analyze student performance data and utilize it to adjust live instruction accordingly.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.

• Highly organized and self-motivated, with effective time management skills to independently handle a full student caseload in a remote setting.

• Dedicated to professional development, maintaining certification, and staying updated on K-12 curriculum, technology, and best practices.

• Open to taking on evolving responsibilities as dictated by business needs.
