Virtual Teacher, English/Language Arts

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +6 more states.

📋 Description

• Provide live, on-camera synchronous instruction for five or more hours daily on each scheduled instructional day.

• Develop a captivating and organized virtual classroom environment.

• Utilize student performance data to tailor instruction, identify learning gaps, and modify teaching methods.

• Offer timely and constructive feedback on student assignments.

• Keep precise student records and ensure students and families are well-informed.

• Foster relationships with students and families through proactive communication.

• Work collaboratively with school partners and Edmentum colleagues to deliver consistent, high-quality support to students.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related discipline.

• Active state teaching license with an endorsement in English/Language Arts for grades 6-12.

• Preferred state licensure in Maryland, North Carolina, Ohio, Indiana, Minnesota, Wyoming, Pennsylvania, and/or Michigan.

• Experience teaching in both virtual and in-person environments.

• Comfort with the challenges of a live online classroom setting.

• Capability to teach live on camera for five or more consecutive hours each instructional day.

• Practical experience with online learning platforms, virtual instruction tools, and standard productivity software.

• Skill in analyzing student performance data and utilizing it to modify instruction.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

• Organizational, self-direction, and time management skills to effectively manage a full student caseload remotely.

• Dedication to maintaining certification and staying updated on K-12 curriculum, technology, and best practices.

• Openness to taking on evolving responsibilities in response to business needs.
