Virtual Teacher, CTE-Computer Science

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Provide live, on-camera synchronous instruction for a minimum of five hours each scheduled instructional day.

• Develop an engaging and well-structured virtual classroom environment.

• Leverage student performance data to tailor instruction, pinpoint learning gaps, and modify teaching approaches.

• Offer timely and constructive feedback on student assignments.

• Keep accurate student records to ensure that students and their families remain informed and on track.

• Foster relationships with students and families through proactive communication.

• Collaborate with school partners and Edmentum colleagues to ensure consistent, high-quality support for students.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related discipline.

• Active teaching license in the state of Alabama for CTE-Computer Science grades 6-12.

• Experience in both virtual and/or in-person teaching environments.

• Comfortable with the unique demands of a live online classroom setting.

• Capability to teach live on camera for five or more consecutive hours each instructional day.

• Practical experience with online learning platforms, virtual instruction tools, and standard productivity software.

• Ability to analyze student performance data and utilize it to modify instruction.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.

• Time management skills necessary to effectively handle a full student caseload in a remote setting.

• Dedication to professional development, maintaining certification, and staying updated on K-12 curriculum, technology, and best practices.

• Willingness to adapt to changing responsibilities based on business needs.
