Virtual Teacher, Biology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Provide live, on-camera synchronous instruction in Biology for five or more hours each day during scheduled instructional periods.

• Develop a dynamic and organized virtual classroom environment.

• Tailor instruction based on student performance data and recognize learning gaps.

• Offer timely and constructive feedback on student assignments.

• Keep precise records of student progress.

• Foster strong relationships with students and their families through proactive communication.

• Collaborate with school partners and Edmentum colleagues to ensure consistent, high-quality support for students.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related discipline.

• Active state teaching license for Biology for grades 6-12.

• Preferred licensure in New Jersey, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Iowa, and/or Ohio.

• Experience in both virtual and/or in-person teaching environments.

• Ability to meet the demands of a live online classroom setting.

• Capacity to teach live on camera for five or more consecutive hours each instructional day.

• Practical experience with online learning platforms, virtual instruction tools, and standard productivity software.

• Proficiency in interpreting student performance data and utilizing it to adapt instruction.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Strong organizational skills and self-motivation.

• Effective time management skills to independently handle a full student caseload in a remote setting.

• Dedication to maintaining certification and staying updated on K-12 curriculum, technology, and best practices.
