Virtual SLP, Tennessee

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Oversee a caseload of around 55 students per Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

• Deliver student-focused, IEP-compliant virtual speech therapy sessions lasting 30 minutes for Middle and High School students

• Perform thorough speech-language assessments and evaluations utilizing Parallel’s Clinical Test Library and automated Report Writer

• Facilitate IEP meetings and manage full case responsibilities

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop, oversee, and enhance Individualized Education Programs

• Monitor session data and student progress to facilitate IEP consultations

• Create detailed, goal-oriented progress reports for each reporting cycle

• Provide state-specific services including AAC support, Pre-K interventions, speech screenings, and supervision of Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs)

⛳️ Requirements

• Valid ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)

• Active SLP license in Tennessee

• At least 1 year of full-time school-based experience in conducting IEP-directed therapy and evaluations, post-CFY

• Preference for candidates with 2+ years of experience for case management roles

• Proficient in the IEP process, educational eligibility determinations, and crafting comprehensive evaluation reports

• Previous experience with Medicaid billing systems is highly beneficial

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to establish rapport with students from various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds

• Competence in virtual telehealth platforms and digital documentation

• Availability for a standard 35-hour work week during regular school hours, Monday–Friday
