Virtual School Social Worker

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Deliver personalized social work services tailored to each student's IEP.

• Assist around 11 students, currently in grades K–6, within a Pre-K–6 educational environment.

• Aid students in developing coping strategies, social skills, peer interactions, social problem-solving abilities, and executive functioning capabilities.

• Conduct 30-minute individual sessions, occurring once or twice weekly according to the needs of the students.

• Arrange consultation periods with teachers and school personnel.

• Work collaboratively with families, educators, IEP teams, and other related service providers.

• Complete necessary documentation, including progress notes and service logs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of an active Clinical Social Worker license (LCSW).

• A valid New York license or certification for practicing school social work.

• At least one year of full-time, on-site school social work experience, not including internships.

• Background in providing counseling, social-emotional support, and behavioral interventions within a school setting.

• Experience working with IEP teams and contributing to measurable student objectives.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
