Virtual Registered Nurse – Triage

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Offer clinical guidance and support to individuals throughout Australia via virtual health services

• Evaluate consumer needs and deliver reliable health information and advice

• Refer clients to suitable healthcare professionals

• Provide care remotely from a dedicated home office

• Participate in both in-hours and after-hours shifts, including split shifts, as part of a 24/7 service

• Follow a fixed two-week roster during the first 6 months of employment

• Complete thorough virtual training during business hours (AEDT)

• Utilize computers, digital systems, and online resources while simultaneously listening and typing

• Contribute to Amplar Health’s in-home care, virtual health services, and community healthcare programs

⛳️ Requirements

• Registered Nurse (Division 1) with at least 3 years of full-time clinical experience within the last 5 years (equivalent to 5100 hours total)

• Current AHPRA registration with no notations

• Experience in A&E and Triage, as well as Paediatrics, Community Care, or Acute Medical/Surgical

• Aged Care experience is not adequate for this position

• Strong assessment abilities and capacity to work independently

• Proficient in using computers and digital systems while multitasking in a fast-paced setting

• Availability for weekend and night shifts

• Full availability for training during business hours (AEDT)

• Commitment to one Friday shift every two weeks

• A private home office with a door that can be closed

• Internet connection with a minimum of 50 Mbps download / 20 Mbps upload

• NBN fibre or Cable connection; wireless internet or mobile connections are not supported

• Ability to multitask by listening, typing, and navigating online resources

• Desirable: Experience with virtual communication (video/audio conferencing, chat)

• Desirable: Previous experience in a call centre or customer service

• Desirable: Experience working in corporate or multidisciplinary teams

• Desirable: Commitment to ongoing professional development

• Combined hours across all employers must not exceed 40 hours per week
