Virtual Physical Therapist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Vermont.

📋 Description

• Perform initial physical therapy evaluations for newly admitted patients, encompassing functional assessments and goal establishment.

• Create and revise personalized home exercise programs and self-management strategies.

• Conduct follow-up physical therapy sessions, adjusting treatment plans based on patient progress and responses.

• Recognize red flags and facilitate escalation to physicians and advanced practice providers when necessary.

• Inform patients about managing their conditions, modifying activities, ergonomics, and principles of pain science.

• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, physical therapists, and health coaches.

• Engage in discussions regarding complex cases and exchange best practices with the wider clinical team.

• Comply with and assist in refining clinical protocols and standard operating procedures.

• Take part in clinical and operational initiatives aimed at improving patient care.

• Provide virtual orthopedic care through telehealth appointments, asynchronous communication, and collaborative clinical discussions.

• Contribute to projects and initiatives within a rapidly growing healthcare startup.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a resident of Vermont.

• Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) with active and unrestricted status.

• At least 2 years of experience in musculoskeletal/orthopedic physical therapy.

• Strong dedication to providing exceptional musculoskeletal care with compassion and efficiency.

• Outstanding communication, organizational, and time-management abilities.

• Capability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team atmosphere.

• Passionate about healthcare innovation and digital health solutions.

• Access to reliable high-speed internet and a quiet, professional workspace at home.

• Willingness to obtain additional state licenses as necessary.

• Preferred: Experience in delivering physical therapy via telehealth (virtual MSK care).

• Preferred: Background in health technology.

• Preferred: Experience in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.

• Preferred: Flexibility in availability to accommodate changing patient needs.

• Preferred: Additional licensure in MI, WI, FL, GA, PA, MN, IA, OH, or MA.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Positions available for both full-time and part-time/PRN roles.
