Virtual Physical Therapist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Perform initial physical therapy evaluations for newly enrolled patients, which includes functional assessments and goal setting.

• Create and update personalized home exercise programs and self-management strategies.

• Conduct follow-up physical therapy sessions, adjusting care plans based on patient responses, including progressions and regressions.

• Recognize red flags and facilitate escalation to physicians and advanced practice providers when necessary.

• Inform patients about managing their conditions, modifying activities, ergonomics, and principles of pain science.

• Work collaboratively with physicians, advanced practice providers, physical therapists, and health coaches to improve patient outcomes.

• Engage in discussions regarding complex cases and share effective practices with the wider clinical team.

• Comply with and contribute to the refinement of clinical protocols and standard operating procedures.

• Take part in clinical and operational projects aimed at enhancing patient care.

• Provide virtual orthopedic musculoskeletal care through telehealth visits, asynchronous communication, and collaborative clinical discussions.

• Participate in projects and initiatives within a rapidly growing healthcare startup.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist (PT) license.

• At least 2 years of experience in musculoskeletal/orthopedic physical therapy.

• Strong dedication to delivering high-quality musculoskeletal care with empathy and efficiency.

• Exceptional communication, organizational, and time-management abilities.

• Capacity to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment.

• Passion for healthcare innovation and digital health solutions.

• Dependable high-speed internet and a quiet, professional remote work environment.

• Willingness to obtain additional state licenses as required.

• Preferred: experience providing physical therapy through telehealth (virtual musculoskeletal care).

• Preferred: background in health technology.

• Preferred: experience in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.

• Preferred: flexibility to accommodate changing patient needs, including availability during mornings and evenings.

• Preferred: additional licensure in MI, WI, FL, GA, PA, MN, IA, OH, or MA.
