Virtual Medical Assistant – MST

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Prepare patients for their appointments with physicians.

• Ensure proper functioning of video and audio connections for patients.

• Incorporate interpreters when necessary.

• Collect signed telehealth consent forms from patients.

• Acquire photographs of insurance cards.

• Gather medical information via phone communications.

• Record detailed medical history, medications, dosages, and primary concerns.

• Obtain baseline vital signs and confirm baseline laboratory results.

• Administer KCCQ surveys.

• Handle incoming phone calls.

• Make confirmation calls regarding upcoming appointments.

• Conduct chart checks and prepare charts prior to patient visits.

• Schedule follow-up appointments and laboratory tests.

• Identify areas for enhancement and risk reduction.

• Implement policies that foster an exceptional patient experience.

• Provide support to patients and providers in a fully remote virtual clinic setting.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

• Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) is required.

• 1 to 3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant, including experience providing virtual care to patients.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills.

• Strong communication abilities.

• Excellent organizational and multitasking capabilities.

• Detail-oriented with an emphasis on processes.

• Self-motivated and eager to embrace new technology.

• Quick learner who is adaptable and flexible.

• Availability to work Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM MST.
