Virtual Medical Assistant, CST

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Prepare patients prior to their visits with physicians.

• Ensure seamless connectivity with patients by checking video and audio functionality.

• Incorporate interpreters as required.

• Collect signed telehealth consent documents.

• Acquire photographs of insurance cards.

• Gather medical information via phone.

• Record medical history, medications, dosages, and primary concerns.

• Obtain baseline vital signs and confirm baseline laboratory results.

• Administer KCCQ surveys.

• Handle incoming calls.

• Make confirmation calls for future appointments.

• Conduct chart checks and prepare charts ahead of patient visits.

• Schedule follow-up appointments and laboratory tests.

• Identify areas for improvement and strategies for risk mitigation.

• Implement policies that enhance the patient experience.

• Provide support to patients and healthcare providers in a fully remote virtual clinic setting.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

• Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) is mandatory.

• 1–3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant, including delivering virtual care to patients.

• Excellent interpersonal skills.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

• Exceptional organizational and multitasking capabilities.

• Detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on processes.

• Self-motivated and enthusiastic about supporting new technologies.

• Quick learner who is flexible and adaptable.

• Commitment to providing an exceptional patient experience.

• Availability from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM CST.
