Virtual Medical Assistant – Concierge Internal Medicine

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Provide support to a boutique concierge practice that delivers personalized primary care to a geriatric, English-speaking patient demographic.

• Perform manual migration of patient information from the current EHR system to athenaOne.

• Prepare patient charts in advance of appointments.

• Engage with existing patients for follow-up on appointments, reminders, and care coordination, which includes medication reconciliation, record transmission, and referrals.

• Reach out to patients on the waitlist to collect information on care objectives, medical records, medication lists, and details of their specialist care team.

• Follow up with patients regarding results and care plans as instructed.

• Assist in obtaining prior authorizations.

• Oversee pending prescription refills.

• Handle patient calls, secure messages, and callbacks efficiently.

• Assess potentially urgent telephone inquiries using a template provided by the physician for information gathering.

• Strong proficiency in athenaOne (athenahealth EMR).

• Experience in dealing with older adult patients, particularly in primary care or internal medicine settings.

• Exceptional communication abilities — patient, clear, and capable of adapting to patients with memory or cognitive challenges.
