Virtual Intervention Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Support the educational and behavioral objectives of students, especially those with Individualized Education Programs.

• Collaborate effectively with classroom teachers to evaluate student strengths and challenges.

• Assist in implementing classroom intervention strategies and adjust general education curricula as needed.

• Help students with their regular class assignments.

• Conduct diagnostic assessments to inform instruction.

• Facilitate IEP meetings and develop IEP goals and objectives.

• Strive for student success, cultural understanding, and achievement goals specific to the state.

• Employ research-backed best practices in day-to-day planning and instruction.

• Incorporate culturally responsive teaching methods into lessons and interactions with students, parents, and colleagues.

• Act as a case manager for a designated group of students.

• Maintain regular communication with stakeholders regarding students' academic and social-emotional development.

• Engage in cross-team assignments and projects.

• Execute additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Eligibility limited to residents of Ohio.

• Current Ohio Intervention Specialist License is preferred.

• Familiarity with State Standards and Common Core Standards.

• Comfort in a growth-oriented coaching environment that includes frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• High proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google applications.

• Strong organizational and time management capabilities.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Must be able to pass federal and state criminal background checks (FBI/BCI).

• Experience in a multicultural setting is preferred.
