Virtual Intervention Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Assist in achieving the educational and behavioral objectives for all students, particularly those with an Individualized Education Program.

• Collaborate effectively with classroom teachers by assessing student abilities and challenges, aiding in classroom intervention strategies, adapting general education curricula, and supporting regular class assignments.

• Perform diagnostic assessments to inform instruction.

• Organize and lead IEP meetings while drafting IEP goals and objectives.

• Strive towards enhancing student achievement, fostering a positive culture, and meeting state-specific achievement standards.

• Implement research-backed best practices in daily lesson planning and instruction.

• Incorporate culturally responsive teaching methods into everyday lessons and interactions with students, parents, and colleagues.

• Act as a case manager for a specific group of students.

• Maintain regular communication with stakeholders regarding students’ academic and social-emotional development.

• Undertake cross-team projects and assignments.

• Execute additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a resident of Ohio.

• Current Ohio Intervention Specialist License is preferred.

• Familiarity with State Standards and Common Core Standards.

• Comfort in a growth-oriented coaching environment characterized by frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress assessments.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• High proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google applications.

• Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.

• Capability to work independently while also contributing to a team.

• Must successfully pass federal and state criminal background checks (FBI/BCI).

• Experience in a multicultural setting is preferred.
