This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Promote Vertex Pharmaceuticals therapies through teleconferences and/or phone calls to targeted healthcare offices and providers.
• Deliver essential clinical information and educational resources during virtual engagements.
• Address unoccupied territories and market gaps.
• Collaborate with Vertex employees to meet stakeholder requirements.
• Foster positive virtual interactions and encourage appropriate growth for client products.
• Engage with office stakeholders and establish trusting relationships with healthcare providers.
• Articulate assigned product features and respond to inquiries to ensure proper therapeutic application.
• Acquire knowledge and communicate complex medical subjects, industry compliance standards, Vertex programs, and the pharmacy and insurance environments.
• Complete required disease state and product training within specified timeframes.
• Deliver education-focused messages and therapeutic-area disease-state information approved by the review committee to select healthcare providers.
• Collaborate with existing Vertex personnel to develop and implement business plans.
• Raise awareness of Vertex products and clinical data among healthcare providers.
• Provide healthcare providers with resources to facilitate discussions with patients regarding clinical matters.
• Build trust, knowledge, and confidence among healthcare providers in identifying treatment gaps.
• Enhance awareness of the therapeutic area and empower healthcare providers to recognize treatment gaps.
• Meet objectives related to call activity, adherence, and brand performance.
• Process accurate sample and literature requests and follow up on product shipments.
• Maintain records of targeted customer interactions, product discussions, literature requests, and sample requests.
• Offer feedback and suggestions to team leadership.
• Adhere to company, PDMA, compliance, and regulatory policies and guidelines.
• Operate independently from a remote home office.
• Develop assigned virtual territory and be accountable for measurable outcomes.
• Perform additional duties as required.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 2 years of sales experience in an outbound Virtual/Tele-sales or field sales role, ideally within the healthcare or pharmaceutical sectors.
• Experience in pain management is preferred.
• Experience with product launches is a plus.
• Strong sales aptitude in highly competitive environments.
• Proven sales achievements.
• Comprehensive understanding of the complete office call process.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to quickly learn new software as needed.
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
• Capacity to grasp complex medical topics.
• Adherence to established compliance standards, patient assistance programs, and pharmacy and insurance/market access landscapes.
• Confidence and aptitude for conversing with physicians and all levels of medical office personnel.
