Virtual Clinical Therapist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Deliver exceptional behavioral healthcare through telehealth platforms.

• Facilitate therapy sessions for individuals, groups, and families.

• Perform psychological and biopsychosocial evaluations and assessments.

• Create and execute tailored treatment plans for clients.

• Track and document client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, medical doctors, and other healthcare professionals.

• Complete suicide risk assessments within required time limits and consult with clinical leaders.

• Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings and case reviews to assess length of stay and level of care.

• Identify community resources for treatment and aftercare planning.

• Adhere to standardized group curricula and treatment planning.

• Educate clients and their families on mental health and behavioral concerns.

• Participate in weekly clinical supervision meetings, providing updates on clients, case formulations, and inquiries.

• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines.

• Keep abreast of the latest behavioral therapy and mental health research.

• Report directly to the Director of Telehealth.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must hold an independent therapist license in Massachusetts.

• A Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related discipline.

• Valid Massachusetts independent licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor, or equivalent.

• Willingness and capacity to obtain additional state licenses as needed.

• Must be prepared to provide formal clinical supervision to associate-level clinicians if qualified.

• Proven experience in delivering behavioral therapy, counseling, and group therapy.

• Ability to effectively manage clients in virtual environments and adjust interventions for telehealth settings.

• Proficiency and comfort with HIPAA-compliant video platforms, EMRs, and virtual collaboration tools.

• Knowledge of or eagerness to learn telehealth best practices, including crisis response and remote safety planning.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

• Capable of working independently while remaining connected to a distributed virtual team.

• Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive virtual group culture.

• Availability for a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

• Experience in facilitating group therapy in an IOP/PHP/RES/IP setting is highly preferred.

• Virtual work experience is preferred.

• A minimum of three years of experience post-independent licensure is highly preferred.
